SEEP Alumni Stories Night

SEEP Alumni Share Career Insights

On 27 January 2026, the SEEP Master Club hosted the first “SEEP Alumni Stories Night”. Alumni from three different cohorts shared their career experiences and personal stories with the SEEP community.

The SEEP Alumni Stories Night brought together students and alumni for a warm, informal evening of honest conversations about life after SEEP. In a relaxed setting, Alexander Mitrofanenko, PhD researcher at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), shared personal insights from his research journey and offered practical advice on applying for PhD positions. This was followed by Julian Kunz, expert for sustainable food systems at the Austrian Health and Food Safety Agency (AGES), who reflected on his diverse career steps and lessons learned along the way.

After a short break, the evening continued with Matilda Gettins, Head of Funding & Climate Finance at FiscalFuture, who joined via video call from Berlin to speak about her work in the NGO sector. Across all talks, the focus was on passing on experiences, learnings, and concrete tips from one SEEP generation to the next – helping make sense of the many paths possible after graduation. The night wrapped up with drinks and snacks, giving everyone time to connect, ask follow-up questions, and strengthen the SEEP community beyond the formal program.

A big thank-you to our alumni, everyone who joined and helped make this night happen.

Stay tuned and stay connected.
